NothingWavering.org

J. Max at Sixteen Small Stones has announced NothingWavering.org, the latest LDS Blog portal to enter the bloggernacle fray.

As with the other LDS Blog portals, NothingWavering.org has its own unique approach and philosophy and styles itself as “a portal to promote mainstream and othodox blogs about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, blogs by mainstream LDS members on topics other than Mormonism, as well syndicated content from official LDS Church websites.”

As I’ve accepted submissions for LDS and Mormon Blogs, I’ve learned that determining what is an acceptable LDS blog can be subjective, difficult and controversial. It’s not easy to make a judgment call on another’s thoughts and beliefs and how they express them. I’ve come to err on being more inclusive than I had anticipated, but I have had to reject a few submissions and it’s not easy.

With that said, I think NothingWavering.org brings a new and worthwhile perspective of the Bloggernacle that I’m sure many will appreciate (Plus, I am grateful that A Soft Answer is included).

He says that the portal is one you can send people to “with confidence that the content will be consistent with the counsel of the living Prophets and Apostles and where Murmuring about the Church and those authorized to direct her will be discouraged.”

Since J. Max speaks for the Brethen on a regular basis, I am sure this will be the case. He has told me at least once that my political views are opposed the restored gospel.

David, I think that even you are too liberal for NothingWavering. Maybe you are there to provide balance.

If Times and Seasons is to the left of the mainstream, he is delusional.

    Ha!

I will proudly be the token liberal at NothingWavering. Though I might need to come to you for the occasional pointer.

And I don’t care for the name-calling and bad tone that has come from both sides of the spat (from what little I have followed).

I wouldn’t describe NothingWavering with the authority he does but I think the portal answers a very real need that has been lacking in the Bloggernacle.

Fair enough. I hope that you are enjoying the humid Maryland summer.
