Regardless of how you feel about the veracity or urgency of his global warming predictions, did the proud new owner of B.S. One really deserve the Nobel Peace Prize over Irena Sendler?

    Live wins the Nobel Peace Prize (well, *any* Nobel, really) over dead pretty much any year. Unfair and all, but it’s the way they work.

    (Hit send before i finished–sorry.) And for the Nobel committee, really, really old==dead.

    The way the Nobel committee works really isn’t a happy way to give what’s arguably the world’s most prestigious single award. Nothing to do about it, though, i’m afraid.

    I think she just died this year and so she was alive when Gore won.

    That’s too bad about the Nobel prize.
