BYU Law Professor, Larry Echohawk is said to be in line for an appointment in the Obama Administration:
President Barack Obama is likely to tap Utahn Larry Echohawk as the head of the Interior Department’s Bureau of Indian Affairs, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned.
Echohawk, a Democrat who teaches at Brigham Young University’s law school, would be the first high-ranking Mormon nominated to Obama’s administration, and the only Utahn so far in a senior role.
Professor Echohawk gave a BYU devotional recounting his very interesting life story in “An Unexpected Gift.”

Sweet!
Echohawk was the first Democratic candidate I ever rooted for (when he ran for governor of Idaho in 1994).
He spoke at a forum not too long ago here in Rexburg. He would be a great fit in the administration. Every administration could use some U. of U. Law School grads.

Actually think he’d be better (back) in politics than as a prof. Not to be rude, just that he’d be better.
