Krauthammer anoints Romney as GOP frontrunner

For those who care: Krauthammer anoints Romney as GOP frontrunner.

You are not going to wake up in the morning and discover he is crying in Argentina.

Not so significant that he did but with such style.

Geez, could Romney get better luck for 2012 than he has these past two weeks? Mark Sanford is toast, and now Sarah Palin immolated.

Romney is the best choice for the Republican ticket in 2012. He is the best qualified to get the economy and deficit spending under control, and he understands foreign and domestic issues. If he does not come close to clinching the Repub ticket, it will mean that religious bigotry is alive and well in 21st century America.

    Dave C.,

No, Romney does not understand foreign issues very well at all. I’ll give you domestic, but when it comes to understanding the world around him, the man is a dolt.

It’s looking good for Romney at the moment but I’m sure it will look a lot worse before the 2012 campaign enters full swing.

However, if Huckabee happens to step into an empty elevator shaft, I’m going to get awfully suspicious.

krauthammer must not know enough Mormons

religious bigotry IS alive and well, evidenced by the overwhelming support Romoney received in Zion simply cuz he was Mormon.

    mb,

Mormons voting for Mitt because he is LDS is not bigotry but identity politics. Likewise evangelicals and Southern Baptists voted for Huckabee, blacks voted for Obama, many women voted for Hillary Clinton, and crazy people voted for Ron Paul.

We often vote for those we relate with. It is not all that different than Mormons rooting for the 49ers when Steve Young was their QB.

I supported Obama from the start because of our similarities. We are both good looking liberal intellectual-types. :)

too many mormons vote for Romn just cuz he’s mormon, then they complain when peeps won’t vote for Romn simply cuz he’s mormon. ignorance.

    nothing new. except for many.

i had lots of similarities with obama but changed them simply so i wouldn’t feel bad about not supporting it.

By your logic then the 95% of blacks who voted for Obama are racist.

ID politics is a part of it but he was also a Utah hero for rescuing the Olympics and his politics just happened to be similar to the politics of a lot of Utahns and Mormons.

Nothing in Romney’s past offers any evidence that he understands foreign policy at all. Come to think of it, what evidence is there that he understands domestic policy either? He’s not a good politician. He’s absolutely tone deaf when it comes to minorities in this country. Just because he was good at business and making money doesn’t make up for his many deficiencies. If we’re looking for the great LDS candidate, maybe we should look somewhere else.
